Today was the annual preschool trip to the pumpkin patch so my friend Karen and I loaded the five kids in the car (three preschoolers and two 1-year olds) and headed off. The weather was not on our side... not raining enough to cancel but raining enough to make everything soggy and to limit picture taking. I still got a few shots though. We checked out early from the soggy festivities and did a restaurant lunch and some shopping, though the kids were not on their best behavior which made it tough for us moms to be on our best behavior. Evan's favorite part was the hayride, which Brynn, Nyah, and I missed due to a need-to-use-the-porta-potty-moment from the one who refused to use it before we walked to the patch (not me or Nyah). Brynn's favorite moment was picking her pumpkin. The picture in the bottom left corner sums up the S family day... Evan happy, Nyah wanting to be anywhere but where she is at the moment, Brynn grumpy (though to her credit she was off and on and not grouchy the entire time), and mommy trying to make the best of it all. But the adult conversation on the way home, with all five asleep, was a great way to end the day ~ thanks Karen.
