Friday Football

Friday night I took all five kids to the hs football game and while I planned to leave at half-time, Brynn was invited to sleep at a friend's house (thanks Karen!), and after she left I could actually sit and talk with my girlfriends watch the game. We sat outside the stadium, on the hill, and the kids could play and/or watch the game. It was homecoming so the game ran late and with about 10 minutes left, Evan and his bestest bud Nate were reclining on a blanket, exhausted from a pick-up game of football, a week of school, and an afternoon of play at Nate's house (thanks Denise!). Nate was looking sleepy and I kept telling him not to go to sleep because I could not carry him to the car. Since Evan had his head on a soccer ball, I didn't think I needed to give him that same warning. WRONG! Game ended and there was Evan, sound asleep with the ball as his pillow though in the blurry picture below (taken with a cell phone camera... thank you Jen!) it looks like he is next to it. It is one of the cutest things I have every seen and probably would have thought so even if he wasn't mine!
