More on Miss Nyah

I overlooked the above picture from Nyah's birthday celebrations the other day. She had her party at Ch*ck E. Ch**se and had a ball, though at times she seemed very overwhelmed by the attention. She did very well in the ticket booth... somehow managing to get the high value ticket. I think it got stuck in her hat.

Some things about Nyah when she turned 5 (some things have changed since then but this is what she said back in March):

• Favorite color is blue
• Loves Barbies, mermaids, and princesses
• Prefers dresses and flip flops over other clothes/shoes
• Loves to drink "Gatorader" whenever she is allowed
• Wants to be a mermaid with a pink tail when she grows up
• Loves singing, rainbows, and her baby sister
• Favorite food by far is noodles, followed closely by white rice

She is such a little lady and still is a fantastic big sister! I know she will do great in Kindergarten!

18 months...

With all the other kids, at about one year things seemed "settled" to me... Jessa is 18 months today and I still feel as far away from settled as I did the day she came home. She is one wild little girl!

I tried the swim floats that are labeled for her age range and, well, they didn't fit her "I can swim, let me in the pool" attitude so we went with this and she loves it! She can work her way around the pool. She is a fish!

Birthdays...

There have been 3 kid birthdays around here since I posted about Jessa's earlier this year. I seem to be lacking in pictures for Price and Brynn... Nyah is always my most cooperative model but still, I should do a bit better.

Price turned double-digits in March... ten years old! He is never one for a big celebration.



Nyah turned 5! Her birthday was all about princesses, Barbie, and mermaids!

Brynn's party was at a local pool and included a sleepover with some of her bff's. Funniest part of the evening, though I have no pictures, was when the girls set up a maternity ward and put balloons under their shirts. Hearing the "facts" according to 8 year olds is pretty amusing!

I see this face a lot lately. I need someone to tell Jessa that she is not 2 yet!

Why Hello There!

Okay, here is one more promise to update the blog more often. I miss having the documentation of what is happening with our family since I do not scrapbook. I am going to try to post every day in August with at least one picture from sometime since February. Here are a few pictures from my "February Folder"...

When basketball ended both Evan and Price said it was their favorite sport. One has since switched to another... more on that later. This picture makes me laugh because it is so Evan... he can't sit still during a game and is like an additional coaches. Some of the "real" coaches appreciate it and, well, others, not so much.

Nyah loved her dance class. Ms. Heather had these dolls and the girls would sometimes dance with them. One more thing that was added to Nyah's long list of wishes!

Doug and Brynn attended the Father/Daughter Dance. Doesn't she look beautiful?
