She's Back...

I bought new goggles for the kids on Wednesday in anticipation that once I dig to the bottom of the pool bag from last summer, the old ones will be crusty, decayed, or just too gross for me to consider letting the kids wear them. Three pairs of blue goggles are sitting nicely on the kitchen counter and will likely remain there until the pool opens next Friday.

Now the pink goggles, well, they have so far traveled cross-county in the car, visited the soccer field during a brother's practice, slept on a pillow next to the head of a tired preschooler, and were made sparkling clean with Suave shampoo since the owner would not take the goggles off to get her hair washed in the bathtub. There is a chance the goggles will be worn at a promotion ceremony for preschool tonight - the sole fashion accessory for our tomboy.

Yes, Goggle Girl is back and as spirited as ever! The goggles just have a little more hair to get tangled in this year. Brynn's ongoing summer obsession with goggles just cracks me up especially when she is the first to tell you that while she loves to swim, she does not put her face in the water.
