In the past seven weeks my house has become one large locker full of broken crayons, stacks of papers, half used workbooks and old school projects… it is definitely the end of the school year and with four kids, well it just might take the first month of summer vacation to clear the clutter!
This my first attempt at a video on my blog. Brynn and Evan finished 3-year old preschool on Friday the 16th with a promotion ceremony. I tried to take a little video (with my camera) but you can hardly see Brynn in it (except the headband that she never wears so she does not know to push it back) but Evan is right there and this is the most I have ever seen him sing. Sorry about the quality. I also don't know how to work Windows Movie Maker well. At work I shoot and edit 30 minute videos with fancy equipment and now at home I am lost.
Anyway, Brynn and Evan both had a great year in preschool and Brynn keeps talking about going back. Next year they will go three days a week.
The last day of preschool involved a field trip to the fire station. The kids loved it, but I think this fireman enjoyed it just as much... too cute!
Price graduated from kindergarten and was one of two students in his class who received the citizenship award and he earned the math achievement award. He is such the social butterfly too… I think he has invited ½ his grade level over this summer to play!Caleb finished up the year on honor roll and is very excited for his summer activities… golf classes, skateboard clinic, and lots of swimming. This is a picture from his field day, which was inside due to rain. The last week of school he went on a bowling trip with his classmates to celebrate their hard work on the SOL tests… I still can’t believe he is old enough to take all those end-of-year standardized tests – where did the time go? He never complains though and continues to just roll with the punches. He is very, very excited about the possibility of going to China in the coming months.
We all earned “promotion” awards for our hard work this school year (both Doug and I work for the school division so while we are not off for the summer, the workload isn’t the same without students there). Tennis racquets! The kids, inspired by their tennis success with the Wii, have been improvising… playing with Zim Zam (dating myself there) racquets and old tennis balls in the driveway. We headed to the courts to test them out. Fun! Fun! Fun! Except for Brynn didn't have a great time; she was frustrated because her racquet wouldn't hit the ball. They all admit that "real life" tennis is harder than Wii tennis!

Love the photos and the firefighter in the picture is Dwayne's cousin Jon. Too funny. My kids call him "cuz" however I call him 2.5 because he is not big enough to be 5.0 (he is also a deputy!~)
