I ran my 3rd 1/2 marathon earlier this month. It was in OBX and it was fantastic... beautiful scenery, great weather, a fun group of women and children, and the amazing feeling to not only return to running races after a few years but also getting a PR! My knees haven't felt the same since but it was worth it! Brynn and Nyah traveled with me and seeing them mid-race and hearing them cheer me on was such a boost!
The beach was a big plus to the whole 1/2 marathon... it will be hard not to run one without a beach nearby again!
November was a relatively quiet month around here. Baseball and Cross Country was over but basketball was still a ways away. Evan turned 9 on the 1st and we had a small family celebration and then he went to a football game with a few buddies.
Nyah is still all about mermaids so she disguised her turkey for school as such. Jessa continues to love to mimic everything at the bathroom sink, especially her teeth. The goodie bags are for a fun run Doug and I organized to go along with a 5k to raise money for dear family friends who were hit with a health crisis this fall. Doug ran the event, likely his last for a while... a few weeks later he hurt is knee and will have to have surgery sometime in February.
