Goggles to Glasses

B had a visit to the pediatric eye doctor Tuesday after failing the eye test at the pediatrician two weeks ago and doing it twice so we knew it likely wasn't just her 3-year old attention span running out. We were anticipating time with a patch over her left eye to strengthen the other one, but it looks like our little girl is nearsighted in both eyes and while we could get her glasses now, unless things take an unexpected path, the doctor feels it will be fine to wait until she is 7ish. God had a plan when he gave B her love for goggles! I know she would wear glasses if we went ahead now and bought them; it is the losing them over and over that would be the downer. I somehow have the feeling B will not pick the style glasses that "blend" in… I'm picturing a bright color with sparkles, much more trendy and cute than my hand drawn ones! (Kudos to daddy, who spent his birthday afternoon with her at the doctor because the twos area of the body that freak mommy out are the two eyeballs).
