Happy New Year!

Yesterday one of my "friends" on FB, a former student, wrote that she was praying that those reading her status would take time to review their past year. I did spend some time doing just that today. If you asked me yesterday how 2010 was for me, I would have said that it was not my favorite year. Today, I realize I was, and continue to be, blessed! In 2010, I was always surrounded by family that loves me for who I am, including a husband who does far more for our family than I ever give him credit for and is a great dad and husband. In 2010 my children continued to make me laugh on a daily basis and challenged me to be a better person and to try new things (nothing like a want-to-just-blend mom having two totally outgoing daughters). They are just really good kids who make me proud. Watching my kids grow and mature is such a joy! Also in 2010, with the help of some close friends lending understanding ears and sharing encouraging words, I am far less stressed about the fact that our family will soon be even bigger and the initial shock, fear, and concern has turned to excitement. Also, this year I started back to work part-time and I love what I do and the people I work with, our business is doing well in-spite of the crazy economy,  I was able to meet some personal goals, again through the support of my husband and family, and we have all we need.

I've set a few new goals for the new year. One is to try to update here a bit more frequently. I spend yesterday and today updating all of 2010 since I let things drop around the end of October. I dated everything as if I did it on time but that was just to keep things in order so I can print this and not an attempt to look like I was on the ball though maybe years from now I can pretend I was. Another goal is to simplify some things so I am returning to having just one blog so our family's adventures, my new photography project (7 pictures in 7 days), and other hobby stuff will all be in one place.  I'm keeping my other goals to myself for a while but I'll be sure to let everyone know if I reach them. :o)

Bring on 2011! I'm ready!  I wish you all a joyous and happy New Year!
